Muyeong tells the king the way back is cut off and points to the watercourse below. — The same night. Inside the palace, the inner corridor. Muyeong: "Take the watercourse below! The way behind is blocked."
Muyeong's spinning cut meets a rebel's spear shaft and snaps it. / After the spin, close fighting on the ground. Muyeong pushes the rebels back and opens the way out. — crack clang
Yeonhwa holds out the ledger case to Sol-i. / (webtoon bridge) The ledger case in Sol-i's arms. Yeonhwa's hands are empty now. — Yeonhwa: "Sol-i, take the ledger to the Queen Dowager!"
Sol-i takes the case in her arms and runs down the side corridor. / Outside the door, Yi Heon reaches his hand toward Yeonhwa inside. — Yi Heon: "Take my hand!"
(webtoon bridge) A hand in a red dragon-robe sleeve and a hand in a navy sleeve. Their fingertips have not met. / Through the gap of the door the king sees the rebels closing and calls to her. — Yi Heon: "Yeonhwa! Get back!"
The rebels push the door shut. Yeonhwa is inside, the king outside. / Inside the closed door the rebels drop a bar across it. — boom clack
A long silence behind the closed door
Yeonhwa struggling with a rebel holding both her arms. / Yeonhwa held fast. The door is already closed. — Yeonhwa: "Let go of me!" Yeonhwa: "Let go of me!"
Outside the door Muyeong puts himself in front of the king and takes a rebel's blade. / Muyeong shouts to the king that they must go down to the watercourse. — clang Muyeong: "You must go down to the watercourse!"
The king and Muyeong go down to the watercourse in the rear garden. / The king's shoe catches on a stone lip on the ground. — Below the rear garden, the watercourse.
The king falls onto the ground rather than into the water, and the royal cap comes off his head. / Only the cap falls into the water. — a splash
(webtoon bridge) The king's face on the ground. His eyes are open and he is breathing hard. / Muyeong lifts the living king up off the ground.
Held up by Muyeong, the king gets away alive along the path beside the watercourse. / Inside the palace. Yeonhwa is taken by the rebels and dragged down the corridor. — Back inside the palace.
Fighting between the guards and the rebels goes on in several parts of the palace. / Blades meet and throw off brief sparks. — clang kaang
The fighting has spread deep into the corridors.
From the noise of the fighting, white space returning to Yeonhwa
The episode ends with Yeonhwa a prisoner inside the palace.
