Ep. 2 · When the Earth Rises

Hanbyeol, the crew member left alone on a space station where the alarms are sounding. Pressing the transmit key brings back only a dead tone; the rescue ship cannot come, and the oxygen lasts until today. Hanbyeol takes off her helmet and begins a recording her daughter Sua on Earth will hear later.

A mother who swallows the words that would worry her daughter, and talks instead about the most beautiful view she saw from the window every day. In a narrow cabin where each breath comes harder, the hour the Earth rises becomes the thing Hanbyeol most wanted to show Sua. A two-minute story that crosses the distance between a mother and a daughter.
