Doyun standing between Yeonhwa and the door. The ease of a man quoting a price. — Doyun: "The price is paid in full. You need only come with me."
Yeonhwa pointing at the door. Her voice settles into calm — someone setting a condition. — Yeonhwa: "Then open the door first." If he has paid, he should be able to open the door. If he cannot — he has not bought me, he has shut me in.
Doyun looking at the empty bundle on the table instead of at the door. His real purpose. / (new · close-up) What Doyun is looking at — the empty bundle cloth and the sewing on the table. — Doyun: "Where is the ledger?" What Doyun was looking at was not Yeonhwa but the empty bundle.
Half a step behind the table. Cold certainty — one word at a time. / (hands 1/3) The body of the bottle comes down toward the corner of the table. — Yeonhwa: "So that is why you bought me."

(hands) She sets the broken neck on the table and lets go. Two empty hands. / (new) Yeonhwa walking toward the door with two empty hands, seen from behind. Her torn left sleeve. Her head is up. — She was not rescued. She walked out.
Yeonhwa crossing the threshold behind Mujin. Doyun moves to follow and Mujin takes his arm. / Doyun, held by the arm, invoking his family. Arrogant — but his voice is a little high. — Doyun: "My father is Min Chi-gyeom. Can you bear that?"
(new · band) Mujin's eyes, unmoved even at the minister's name. / Yeonhwa looking back from the corridor. Shaking, but she finishes the request. — Even at the minister's name, that hand did not loosen. Yeonhwa: "Do not let that man go."
To Yeonhwa, still holding Doyun. / A short order toward the doorway. The king's voice half escapes. — Mujin: "I will not." Mujin: "To the garrison. Hold him separately."
(new) Soldiers of the garrison take Doyun down the corridor. Muyeong follows. — The garrison's soldiers took him away.
Yeonhwa in the corridor. A face turning over what she has just heard — not composure but a question. — The garrison. Not a word a beggar would say.
(new) Yeonhwa stepping out of the courtesan house. First light. Mujin a step behind. — The night had ended.
